Television and Films Corrupt Young Minds

One day a kid told his mother , “ Oh Mom! Don’t prepare that silly milk for me everyday. From today onwards AAP , Mai aur  Hamara BAGPIPER CLUB SODA hi hoga ” .

Respected judges , honorable chief guests and all my dear friends. We have gathered here to present our views on the little chatter box sitting in the corner of the house but controlling the HEAD of the house. As hinted I will speak FOR the motion.

It’s a common and HIT culture of students gathering in groups and talking about the costume what AMISHA wore in ‘HAMRAAZ’ or the little beard which AAMIR kept in ‘DIL CHAHTA HAI’

I heard a kid singing ‘ Excuse me kya re , mera dil ..; goli maar bheje mai”  in breathless way but struggled and revolted to learn nursery rhymes…

I don’t know what is its answer but would like to know why T.V and Movies are found more interesting as a learning tool of entertainment rather than education.

The trend still continues :

HISTORY Geography bewafaa, raat rahi subah safaa .”

According to a latest survey in Britain : Till the time a child grows to 14 he has already seen  11,000 murders. Also T.V gives relaxation of only 30 seconds to the brain rest all is waste of time.

And this is why we have seen a 14 year old lad killing his fellow mates in school with a gun .This has happened twice in U.S. where a  minor has killed people in huge numbers. He was excited to see how people die.

HAA ..  how can I forget that children find difficulty in leaning table , poems, lessons just because at 8.00 pm Sonpari, 8.30 -> kasauti zindagi ki 9.00 à sanjivini and from 10.00 to 11.00 the story of every house … Then when do children get time to study ?

Friends I would like to emphasize on the word ‘young minds’  from the topic so given which gives an impression of enthusiasm and zeal. But just think for a while about the future of the country led by these children when they grow old watching violence ,rape ,murders.

Today’s young minds want entertainment from MTV,V-Channel but are not bothered to watch AASTHA or SANSKAR Channel. Why ??? Is it the environment, the parents ,the friends or  something else which we are losing focus on.

Father is replaced by Popsy ,Mother by MOM. Now mornings start with pop songs dhinchaak.

Friends my intension is not to make a fuss here but to analyze the present trend and thinking of the generation.

What more this TV has provided is the earl maturity and egotism. It hurts the ego when we touch the feet of elders because they are feet how can that be touched ?

We do watch English channels and the result is we have started speaking HINGLISH and have command over none of English or Hindi.

Whether national festivals are celebrated or not but our youth must celebrate ‘valentine day’.How can we forget the devil REMOTE. It has the power of giving instatnt pleasures and anxiety. We can’t stick to a single channel for more than aminute and keep searching for entertainment 60-70 ch annel/min.

Channels/min is the new dictionary of the year.

The mind of small kids is like garden full of beautiful flowers which requires careful gardening .Lets make a promise that we (Human beings ) will teach our generation rather than transferring our  responsibilities to that idiot box.

Keep in mind that  :

TV has also  changed the definition of love. Child suicides because of fantasy love has become an order of the day. Kids talk a lot on love, marriages and that too without any sex education which can be a very dangerous situation. The movie ‘ CHOTI SI LOVE Story ‘ has no love at all. We have changed the meaning of love. I don’t know what it is now à fantasy , attraction, seduction ?

We live the lives of Actors and forget the true self; the most important person. The MEDIA life is so interesting that we believe our own life has no charm. We try to find the real life solution of the problems from the actors and tv serials.

TV addiction is no different than alcohol, drug addiction. We can’t leave it even if we want to and enjoy it at any cost.

Sorry judges but a question to you :

Can you watch randomly picked serial, song on TV in front of your family ?with open cloth factory in operation watching tv has made seclusions between family members. The meaning of family entertainment is a myth.

At last I would like to conclude

WATCH EXCESS TV TO :

·         Make your 2 eyes count 4.

·         Fail in examination

·         Anxiety and over excitement affecting mental composure

·         Kill your parents by Electricity bill
